Things are not looking good for Shia LaBeouf after his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs sued him for assault, sexual battery, and emotional distress infliction.
Now, another former girlfriend came out to expose her own experience with the famous actor. According to the multi-awarded singer and songwriter Sia, LaBeouf also hurt her and cajoled her into having an “adulterous relationship.”
LaBeouf, whose popularity rose after playing the role of Louis Stevens in Disney Channel’s hit comedy “Even Stevens,” went on to become one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood. He appeared in several critically-acclaimed films like “Holes” in 2003 and “Fury” in 2014. But his most memorable role to date is as Sam Witwicky from the “Transformers” trilogy.
However, the actor always finds himself in the middle of controversies throughout the years.
Earlier this year, LaBeouf presented the Best Live-Action Short award at the Oscars with his “The Peanut Butter Falcon” co-star Zack Gottsagen, who is an actor with Down’s Syndrome.
Everything went well during the presentation, but most netizens were not happy when LaBeouf seemed to smile when Gottsagen had trouble with his lines. Many of them believed that it was a cruel gesture.
The 34-year-old actor also admitted about his turbulent times in the past. He was not afraid to talk about his bouts with addictions and violence. He also apologized publicly after getting arrested due to drunkenness and disorderly.
But on Saturday, LaBeouf found himself in the hot seat once again after ex FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahlia Debrett Barnett, filed a lawsuit against him for all the abuses that she got from him during their almost one year together. According to the British singer and songwriter, he habitually inflicted physical, emotional, and mental pain throughout their time together. She also said that he deliberately gave her a sexually transmitted disease.
If that is not enough, another former lover came forward to support twigs and share her story about her time with the actor. This time, it was Sia who called him a “pathological liar” who tricked her into getting into an adulterous relationship when he told her that he was single at the time.
The Australian singer, known for her hit songs “Chandelier” and “Don’t Bring Me Down,” also said via Twitter that LaBeouf is “very sick,” yet she is still concerned about his welfare and his victims.
While there was no public announcement regarding the relationship between the singer and the actor, other reports mentioned that the former couple worked together when he starred in the controversial music video of Sia’s hit song “Elastic Heart” in 2015. LaBeouf was in a relationship with Mia Goth at the time, while Sia was still married to film director Erik Anders Lang.
Sia also expressed her support for Twigs. She praised her fellow singer for bravely coming forward to share her experiences with the actor.
LaBeouf released a statement regarding the claims, saying that apologized for his past behaviour and for inflicting hurt to the people he was closed to in the past.
