Keeping Up with the Kardashian/Jenner Empire: Breaking Down their Businesses

How famous are the Kardashian/Jenners? Massively. How did they get there? Well, let’s explore. Keep reading to know more.

We live in an era where Instagram influencers and models have taken over the world with a storm. Numerous people now look up to these influential figures regarding fashion, home décor, or lifestyle choices. One the top of the list of these global figures comes a family that now needs no introduction.

They’re already everywhere and have built a successful empire for themselves one “episode” at a time? Yes, you guessed it right. It’s the Kardashian/Jenner clan. The family, consisting of five sisters and the matriarch Kris Jenner, who looks after the entire empire, has successfully built several businesses that are only growing yearly.

So, let’s break down the Kardashian/Jenner’s’ empire business by business.

1. DASH

The first business was a retail store that opened its doors to people in 2007. It was owned by Kim Kardashian herself, along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe. DASH was heavily promoted on the family’s reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which also started airing in 2007. However, fifteen years ago, the sisters weren’t as famous as today, which is why DASH couldn’t see much success. It was further sold to Target in 2018, and the sisters officially backed out of it.

2. Kylie Cosmetics

The youngest sister and member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kylie was the first sister to see massive success through her makeup line. Initially only an online store, Kylie eventually opened up physical stores in different parts of America. Her makeup sells so quickly that it led to her being labeled as a millionaire by Forbes magazine. She keeps on expanding her company by launching her self-titled skincare line and a swimwear line. There are further plans of launching a baby line that will focus on baby products.

3. KKW Beauty

Kylie Jenner isn’t the only successful makeup mogul of the family. We mean, she was until Kim jumped on the bandwagon. Shortly after Kylie Cosmetics, Kim launched her own makeup company called KKW Beauty. Her products are, however, subtler than her sister’s. She creates makeup products for all skin tones, focusing majorly on different foundation shades. Alongside that, Kim also has a fragrance collection that sells out like wildfire. Such products and advertising have certainly helped her carve a niche for herself in the makeup industry.

4. Good American

The third eldest sister Khloe is not far behind her other sisters. She, along with partner Emma Grede joined hands to start an all-women denim company back in 2016. The apparel line has been received very well by customers in the US. She eventually dwelled into creating jeans for all body types, which helped the company receive further acclaim and even customers.

5. Poosh

Finally, the eldest sister, Kourtney, not too long ago, started her own wellness and lifestyle company called Poosh. The website gives its customers hacks to style your home, make healthy food choices, and of course, talks about fashion as well. The lifestyle brand didn’t take very long to garner positive feedback as it offers pretty valuable tips for women in every way.
