Demi Lovato’s New Song “15 Minutes” – Possible Hit at Ex-Fiancé Max Ehrich?

Demi Lovato’s

Singers using their songs to talk about heartbreak and toxic relationships is not surprising anymore, and Demi Lovato seems to have joined the bandwagon too.

Her recent album that was released earlier this month is called Dancing With the Devil: The Art of Starting Over and is absolutely brilliant given how the songs talk about her life, personal problems, and the person she wants to become after surviving an overdose that nearly ended her life.

As inspiring as her new album might be, Demi’s fans couldn’t help notice this one particular song called ‘15 minutes,’ which seems to be calling out her ex-fiancé Max Ehrich for using her to get 15 minutes.

While the song doesn’t mention his name at all, but if you listen to the song closely and pay attention to the lyrics, you will be able to tell that this track is heavily focused on their failed engagement and relationship and all the drama that unfolded after they went their separate ways.

Not to mention that incident where Max was once found at a beach in Malibu where he was alone and crying and was even photographed by paparazzi, which, according to people, he called on himself! This was the spot where he had initially popped the question, so, publicity stunt, maybe?

In case you are struggling to connect the dots, let us break down the song for you!

There’s a chorus in the song that goes like,

’Cause you were looking for fifteen minutes, yeah
And now you got fifteen minutes, yeah
Pack your stuff, you can come and get it, yeah (Hahaha)
Ain’t goodbye, but it’s good riddance
You got fifteen minutes
Hope you enjoy your fifteen minutes
(Ooh, woah, oh-oh)’

This particular part definitely looks like a direct dig on her ex’s “clout chasing” where the singer is accusing him of using her for his 15 minutes of fame.

Then, comes the part,

‘Prayin’ in Malibu, prayin’ in Malibu, how could you, how could you?
Prayin’ in Malibu, prayin’ in Malibu, I hope it saved you
Prayin’ in Malibu, prayin’ in Malibu, how could you, how could you?
Crying in Malibu’

This has to be the most obvious and direct hit at Max and the time when he was photographed at a beach in Malibu, crying alone by the paparazzi.

Wait, it gets better!

‘While you were looking for fifteen minutes, yeah (Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh)
And now you got fifteen minutes, yeah-yeah (Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh)
Pack your stuff, you can come and get it (Oh yeah)
Ain’t goodbye, but it’s good riddance (Good riddance)
You got fifteen minutes
Hope you enjoy your fifteen minutes
Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, ooh, ooh’

As fans and followers, we can only speculate, but it’s really hard to deny that the song ’15 minutes’ is actually about Demi’s breakup with Max and everything that followed after the sad end of their relationship.

Absolutely savage, though, isn’t it?
